AC Milan Never Planned to Buy Bonucci
AC Milan’s director, Massimiliano Mirabelli, told of the transfer of Leonardo Bonucci. He said that the arrival of the 30-year-old defender was never planned.
“The transfer was never in our plans,” Leonardo Miracelli said, “agent Leonardo Bonucci is always joking about Bonucci who will leave Juventus.
“Even when I first heard this, I did not tell Marco Fassone (CEO of AC Milan),” added Mirabelli.
Milan spent 42 million euros (about Rp 660, 610 billion) to bring Juventus defender’s mainstay. This transfer is spelled out very quickly and suddenly because two days after the transfer rumors emerged, Milan have officially got it.
There was a good reason why the Rossoneri did not wait long. They feared the transfer could be canceled because Bonucci is a key player Juventus who incidentally became rivals Milan in Serie A.
“That time, when there was a chance, we immediately moved quickly to get Bonucci’s signature,” Mirabelli said.
Indeed, during the transfer market this summer, Milan is very active in buying players. Plus Bonucci, the Rossoneri have brought 10 new players to the San Siro.
Total, club rivals sekota Inter Milan has spent 210 million euros (about Rp 3.303 trillion) to strengthen his squad. Even so, Vincenzo Montella’s team is still wanting an additional striker.
